Officially registered with the Scottish Tartans Authority, this exclusive tartan is a unique reflection of our club history — and the rich heritage of the Scottish in New York City. Our tartan pays homage to two past club chiefs, combining elements of the Fraser tartan (in celebration of our first chief, Alexander Fraser) and the MacDonald tartan (honoring our 80th chief, John B. MacDonald). It also incorporates details of the Cameron of Erracht tartan, worn by the famous 79th New York Highlanders, many of whom were members of the early NYCC. Expertly and meaningfully designed by tartan authority Brian Wilton, our tartan symbolizes more than 160 years of the New York Caledonian Club. Our tartan is available in two variations, as a day tartan and a dress tartan.
