Intermediate Scottish Gaelic – Course 102
Course Details
This 8-week class is a continuation of Gaelic 101 begun in the fall of 2022 and continued through the spring of 2023.
Students will continue to learn the fundamentals of both conversational Scottish Gaelic as well as grammar and syntax. Handouts will be distributed via PDF throughout the course and emailed directly to students. Obtaining the dictionary, Teach Yourself Essential Gaelic Dictionary by Boyd Robinson, is recommended.
If students were not enrolled previously in Beginning Scottish Gaelic 101, they will need to check with the instructor to see if their prior knowledge is sufficient to enroll in the intermediate course. Please contact barbara.rice@nycaledonian.org for more information.
All classes will be held via Zoom. Students will be sent a weblink after signing up.

The course covers insights into the development of the language and concentrates on grammatical structure, vocabulary, pronunciation, and the application of these to the formation of everyday conversational phrases.
